Where did the time go? Crazy how it was just summer but all good things must come to a end. But before we wrapped up our summer program we were able to take the kids on some fun field trips!
We started off field trip week with a flag football tournament with all NH sites. Seola Gardens, High Point, Firwood, and Burndale met at a beautiful sports facility in Tukwila. Burndale faced off with Firwood for our first game and then High Point where we got the dub and brought home the Flag Football Tournament trophy!!!! Shout out to the team for showing great sportsmanship, playing well with the teammates and having fun!
Next we took our elementary group to the Seattle aquarium where they got to have some fun hands on learning about marine life. They loved finding nemo and getting the opportunity to touch starfish's and anemones.
Our next field trip was hiking with our high school kids (they grow up so fast :') where does the time even go?) It started off a bit rough with us taking the wrong trail but we quickly recovered and with some backtracking we were able to find the correct trail. Thank goodness because otherwise we would've hiked 7 miles as suppose to the 2 miles we signed up for! Nonetheless, the trek was worth it because at the end we were able to see the beautiful Franklin Falls!!! Seriously. So breathtaking!
And last not but least, our middle school and second elementary group were able to enjoy some sunshine at Lake Tapps! Miss Emily brought her floatys and the kids were able to jump off the dock and go swimming or relax on the inner tubes at the lake. Perfect way to end our summer!
Now its time for a new adventure, the start of a brand new school year! Thankful for all the fun memories this summer. Looking forward to seeing the kids again when school starts :)
